ile de france, on the corner of Nuffield St and Remuera Road in Newmarket, serves authentic French cuisine prepared by chef Gilles Papst, along with a carefully selected range of French wines to accompany his meals.

The ambience at ile de france is warm, cosy, and rustic French - an ideal place to relax and linger with friends for lunch, dinner or a weekend brunch. Good coffee and delicious fresh patisserie are available all day.

Gilles comes from Strasbourgh in Alsace. His cooking is inspired from all four corners of France, but predominantly the south west region. He loves to cook with passion from the heart, using fresh and local ingredients. Hence his menus change with the seasons.

ile de france is open daily from 9am for coffee, patisserie, and lunch. On Tuesday to Saturday nights they are open for dinner, and on the weekends they serve French Brunch.
