Originally built in 1885, the hotel has been completely refurbished by the present owners. The standard is high and the decor tasteful and comfortable.
Downstairs are bar areas, restaurant, guest lounge and landscaped grounds.
Upstairs are 7 guest rooms, some ensuite, and additonal bathrooms, along with tea/coffee facilities. Outside are 4 cheep & cheerful rooms and a bathroom to share.
The menu features bar food through to full service entrees and main dishes.There is something to suit all tastes and wallets. Special menus and catering are available with notice. A large range of beer, wine and spirits is also available.
There is plenty of parking for cars, mini vans and buses.
Golf packages are available for individuals and groups wanting to play the nearby 18 hole Rangitira course. This course is unique in that 6 holes are played along State Highway 1, 6 on a lower level and the final 6 along the Rangitikei River. The cable car will take you from the bottom of the 18th back up to the clubhouse.
