The Koru Ultrasound and Care Centre practice in central Richmond opened in December 2010 to become New Zealand's first combined diagnostic ultrasound imaging practice and care centre incorporating natural therapies.
Koru was borne out of the shared desire of its founders to deliver ultrasound imaging with a patient-centred approach to service. To this end, Koru(TM)s contemporary custom-built premises utilise modern imaging equipment whilst also providing en-suite ultrasound viewing facilities for those wishing to bring children, whanau members or friends with them. Also, Koru understands that in today(TM)s modern world, facilities such as evening & weekend opening hours, free parking, and optional male or female specialists are just some of the choices that patients or clients would like. Koru has made a point of listening to these wishes, and providing for them.
In stylishly refurbished premises, providing a relaxed day-spa like environment, Koru offers a high quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging service for a wide variety of medical conditions. In addition, Koru offers traditional supportive natural therapies and also hosts the services of various healthcare & complementary practitioners. Combining this mix of branches from both Western & Eastern medicine, we believe allows Koru to provide a more integrated means of diagnosis, treatment & preventative healthcare for all of our patients & clients.
