Metrapanel Limited is an innovative company, supplying pre-cut panel construction components to the building industry and licensed installers throughout New Zealand.
The Metrapanel system was developed to create a frameless interior wall and ceiling system which replaces timber frame and plaster board.
Melissa and Andrew Savage are the directors of the company. They have a strong belief in the benefits of Metrapanel for the construction of quality, durable and affordable homes.
Andrew began working for the company in 1996, initially as a diesel mechanic and truck driver. He worked his way through various owners, Fletchers and Panelbilt Systems, and roles, to the position of General Manager, New Zealand. He and Melissa purchased the company and renamed it Metrapanel Limited.
Based in Waikato, we are centrally located. More than 2/3rds of New Zealand(TM)s population are within two hours drive of our factory. We deliver throughout New Zealand.
History
There is a long family history with the company. Melissa(TM)s father, Les Wykes originally started the company 1994 to build houses using engineered wood panel products. Les designed the lifting system for the panel and it is still in use today.
Initially the panels were cut on a construction site but to streamline the process all panel cutting is performed at the factory prior to be sent to the site.
Metrapanel Limited currently has 20 active, licensed installers throughout New Zealand using the Metrapanel system of building for homes and commercial buildings.
