18th January 2011 This reference is for Lyall Stairmand of Total Home Services Ltd, who recently did some maintenance work on my home. This included repairing/plastering holes in the walls, making a new trap door into the ceiling space, pulling back the carpet and cutting a hole in the floor of one bedroom to allow access for the insulation installers and making good on completion, painting the hall ceiling and doorway ceiling.
On the outside of the house waterblasted and then removed rust, sanded, primed the rust on the weatherboards, around the windows, garage, decking and other fixings with zinc oxide. Repaired cracked weatherboards, removed and repaired some minor rot, and repaired cracks in the chimney. They also painted most of the weathersides of the outside of the house, including the windows and patch painted where needed elsewhere on the house. My natural timber letterbox was sanded extensively and polyurethaned - looks fabulous now.
They worked very hard and always turned up on the days specified. They always cleaned and tidied up at the end of each day, they were always polite and very willing workers.

9th January 2016 I would not recommend Total Home Services Bay of Plenty. They undertook a house clean and pest spray for us - arrived 4 hours late, missed windows, waterblasted chunks of timber and paint off, detached downpipes inadvertently in the process. The windows were dirtier when they finnished. I also do not think they undertook a pest spray. We invited them back to look at the damage in November and have not seen or heard from them so I am subsequently posting this review to share our experience. We usually do this work ourselves and were trying to save ourselves some time this summer but alas there is now more work and repairs to undertake now.

3rd December 2015 If you are considering using Total Home Service in the Bay of Plenty, Rotorua, Taupo, Hamilton, Tauranga and the Hawkes Bay BEWARE! These guys are cowboys - check out all their negative reviews on YELP. Avoid all their GRAB ONE and Treat Me deals or you will be sorry.
