29th January 2014 I really, really love this place. The atmosphere is great and so are the staff members. Their food is excellent, I particularly come here for their chicken chowder and kumara wedges. They offer you free nachos and salsa while you wait and I can't even say it's a long wait at all. The set up of the outside is great also! Definitely recommend this place :-)

28th January 2013 The staff are great- friendly, efficient. The food is standard Mexican fare; the fish tacos and the mole' are both yummy. The price is what you expect for a Mission Bay restaurant...slightly over-priced. Always a fun scene.

1st April 2012 Food and service use to be excellent, this was until myself and my in laws went here lastnight for a birthday dinner. Wait staff incredibly rude to start off with, we had a table booked for 7 at 6pm but only 3 of us turned up on time. I informed the waitress that the others had been held up and they would be around 15mins late, she chose to ignore me and rudely insisted we order something i.e drinks/entrees etc. When the others arrived at the restaurant the same rude waitress came back to our table and tried to hurry us along, she didn't even let them sit down and open their menus before jumping down their throats about ordering mains. When it came to ordering drinks the waitress was very impatient with us and refused to serve my sister in law alcohol without any i.d when it was very clear that it was a family dinner and we were all of age to be served alcohol. The food was not up to it's usual standard, my burrito consisted of mostly refried beans and about three tiny pieces of chicken, tasted nothing like it usually does. Restaurant wasn't as busy as it has been in the past so there isn't really an excuse for the poor service and flavuorless food we were given. No choice on whether we wanted dessert or not which is a shame because we were all keen on some churros, but were not given the option. Kind of a sad review but i'm an honest and fair person and would not recommend going to this restaurant, I will not be returning here or recommending anyone i know dine here in future.

30th September 2010 Dos Amigos is a great place to go if you have never had Mexican food before. The flavours are pretty unimposing and if you like rice and salsa then you will be happy. However, if you have had a bit of experience eating Mexican food, you may be a bit dissapointed by the lack of spices and variety in the flavours of the meals. A great place for the family with the pet iguanas, and the bar is great for those wanting to try authentic Tequila!
