After many wonderful meals at Archies we had a bad experience on our last visit. We ordered fish of the day fresh schnapper on steamed vegetables (we have enjoyed this previously). After an extraordinarily long wait of almost 1 hour the meals arrived. Fish had a strong smell to it and did not have the typical appearance of schnapper (with the black lines thorugh the flesh. The fillet was thin, strong tasting and smelling and had a large amount of brown underflesh. We questioned Archie but he remained adamant it was schnapper. The vegetables were so raw we could hardly eat them and the broccoli had seen better days. Definitely our last meal at Archies.

Archies is great if you want a good value and tasty Italian meal with friendly service. We go there regularly for lunch on weekends. All mains are $14 and the pizzas, pasta and salads are all delicious. I love the Tutto Mare (seafood) pasta...the fish in it is so tasty. Meals are served with delicious balsamic creme and olive oil on the table, and we usually get the freshly baked bread for only $2 as well. Great value and nothing beats freshly baked bread out of the oven. Meals are on the smallish side, but sizeable enough and I never end up feeling bloated after a big pasta meal like I sometimes do at other Italian restaurants. Great atmosphere sitting outdoors too. 4 stars.

Delicious italian food, sexy gorgeous waitresses with super tight skirt serving you and $14 lunches. What more could a man ask for?

Fabulous pizzas (highly recommend the Diavolo, Proseiutto cotto e fungi, and Pollo e Pesto). Pastas are equally as delicious - I've tried most of the pastas on the menu and they are sooooo tasty. My personal favourites are the tortelloni, chicken fettuccine and the spaghetti bolognese (not always on the printed menu but you can request it). The $12 lunches are great value for money. Service is usually attentive, except when the restaurant is super busy (understandably).

We have lovely memories of our dinner. The pizza was fantastic and the chocolate mousse dessert was absolutely divine. Service a little slow but we had great company and the food was worth waiting for.

Always love coming to Archies for their $12 lunch special (used to be $10 special but obviously they've got to keep up with inflation). They have a great combination of pizza (delicious wood-fired ones), pasta and salads but I haven't managed to get round to trying the salads yet, I find it too difficult to go past the pizza and pasta. The service can sometimes be a little hap-hazard as they are trying to as many seatings as possible over the lunchtime rush period but they are always smiling and polite. A lovely place to go and sit outside in the warmer months but it's just as lovely in winter with the pizza oven keeping the place nice and toasty. Looking forward to another trip very soon.

Didn't have the $10 lunch special ... Think it was $12 (inflation or GST rise maybe)?! Was worth every cent though. Great selection to choose from - pizza, pasta, salads. The place was packed, yet service and food delivery never faltered.

A fun, friendly and delicious place to eat! I recommend Archie's to anyone and everyone! Their wood-fired pizzas are to die for and ditto for their al-dente pastas. Try it for yourself

Their $10 lunch specials are great - there are loads of options to choose from which you don't usually get with set lunch menus. The service is friendly and the pizza's yummy! Definitely one to try
