I love Le Chat Noir. It is different from the norm with the genuine French character, menu, staff wine etc. The food is good, staff are friendly. Great place for coffee, lunch or a dinner at the weekends. Its our default position with any overseas guests or business clients with its unique French/Kiwi personality

Le Chat Noir is a quaint cafe in a lovely part of town. The interior decor and general atmosphere are very warm and inviting. They have a nice selection on the menu including vegetarian and gluten free options. The service was very friendly and helpful. I recommend it and I will definitely be going back!
