19th August 2011 I love the sushimi at Yuzu and the lady who serves is always very friendly. When I lived in Ponsonby this was my favourite place to eat on Ponsonby road. Also conveniently close to The Chapel. There is always people eating in here which i thikn is testament to the great food and service. Would love it if they started serving alcohol.

14th November 2014 We just ordered takeaways from Yuzu and they were very disappointing. Small portions and bland. The salmon teriyaki has little to no sauce, plain rice and the 'veges' are a bit of iceberg lettuce and spring onion. The takoyaki were ok but very doughy. I have eaten in the restaurant twice before and the food is much better when dining in. I would not recommend for takeaways. However the staff are very lovely. An unfortunate bad rating.

31st July 2011 Beautiful food -- clean tastes, good ingredients, all the usual suspects and a few excellent extras; the New Style Sashimi is one of the best things I've eaten -- and good service (a little slow, maybe, but super-polite and warm). I'm going back as soon as I can. It's not licensed (not even BYO) so while it always seems to be busy -- as it should be, given the quality and value for money -- patrons are in and out pretty quickly, so don't be afraid to grab a seat in a corner and wait for a table.
