Ron Monten was the power behind the pencil when television crash-landed in New Zealand in the 1960s. He shaped New Zealand's cultural landscape by branding our iconic companies at a critical stage of their development - he shot the first 60 second TV commercial for Air New Zealand and his last commercial job, nearly 30 years later, was the Lion for Lion Breweries. About GeraldineO

When Ron Monten and I got married we ran away from advertising to a ruin on the Manukau Harbour that no-one else was mad enough to buy. Over the next 20 years we turned it into Paradise the hard way. We were inspired by the land: we fell in love with the bush, the beach and the space and these images are from those happy years when we were free to express our own creative spirits.

Why buy New Zealand made?

Because here strict environmental controls mean that no toxins are flushed into soils and waterways. No chlorine bleaches are used in the manufacture of GeraldineO.co.nz's eco tees either. The fabric is knitted and dyed in Auckland, sewn in Pukekohe and printed in Onekawa and Gisborne. So you can wear our stuff with style and feel good about it!
