Luxe & Duke was established by talented and experienced stylists Steph Hosking & Paula Satterthwaite.
The following story shows the development of the Luxe & Duke brand.
As an illegitimate child of a peasant farmer the odds were against me from the start. Throw the death of one parent and abandonment by the other into the mix and things start to look pretty grim.
Being raised in a convent wasn(TM)t all bad though. The sisters taught me a thing or two about cutting hair and even found me a steady job at the local salon but when you(TM)re destined to be a star not even the almighty can stand in your way. And so it was that I found myself singing on stage in the big smoke. oeLucy Deluxe the signs would read, a tribute to my sheen auburn hair that seemed to get people(TM)s attention and draw in the crowds. The hottest ticket in town at this time was The Coco Five, an underground jazz club run by the undisputed man about town Patch Defontain or the oeDuke. Rough around the edges but with an inherent sense of style, the Duke knew how to deliver what the people wanted. Together we took The Coco Five to another level and created an environment where the cool hunters collided with society - a collision that helped shape the
fashion revolution and the origin of style.

Left feeling wonderful as I always do after visiting Steph! Colour and cut like no one else can do. I totally recommend Steph as your stylist. You will not be disappointed.

I have been going to Steph at Luxe and Duke for Quite a few years, even before they opened Luxe and Duke. Basically I would follow her to the ends of the earth she is just such a talented hair stylist I thoroughly recommend this top class hairdressing salon. The ambience and service is second to none and I have never walked out of the salon unhappy, I always feel really special and totally pampered. I also notice the other hairstylists are just as talented and love to watch other people coming in and walking out completely transformed and looking amazing!! don't miss it!!! I guarantee you'll be back!!!

Hi Girls, I have been meaning to write this for ages. Thank you Kate for the best hair cut ever a I LOVE it!! Have had so many compliments and its soooo easy too!! Sometimes its hard to have a big change but this was definitely needed and feels great for summer!! Thankyou and I better book another business trip to Auckland soon xx Kathryn Pettit
