We call ourselves a bar and eatery rather than a restaurant or caf, because we want to fill the gap between them. It is our aim to offer a better standard of food and service than you would expect from a caf, in a more relaxed, casual atmosphere than a fine dining restaurant.

We chose the name 'Opera Kitchen', because the 'kitchen' part alludes to our aim to be an extension of your home, and the 'opera' part locates us in the Opera House Precinct, in Eastbourne St Hastings.

We want you to feel we are there to meet your many different needs;

that you can come in for a coffee and a roll for breakfast one day, bring a client in for a business lunch another day, or meet friends for brunch and a wine on the weekend. It is also an obvious place to meet friends for a quick meal or drink before a movie or a show at the Opera House.
