16th June 2012 Mei is simply phenomenal! I've done a fair bit of sewing in my time, but I found a pair of pants (active winter / snow ones) that essentially needed to be taken in 2 sizes which was beyond me. I really wasn't sure if it were possible at all, but Mei took on the challenge with no hesitation, and the result was perfection. It would be impossible to tell they had been altered unless you had the original to compare to. In addition, Mei was friendly, very efficient and kept me in touch with the progress via text. I am so glad to have found Mei and I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else ever again.

23rd August 2010 I have found Mei's standard of dressmaking to be exceedingly good - she is very meticulous with an eye for detail and fit. To date, Mei has made five dresses for me; three from patterns and two from drawings I've supplied. All are immaculately constructed - I wouldn't go anywhere else!

12th August 2010 As far as I'm concerned, this woman has magic fingers. She has impeccably altered two semi-formal, complex dresses of mine, and I have no idea how it was done. (I do have some knowledge of the subject, but her work is invisible, and perfect.)
Maria is very professional and has the patience to listen to what exactly you are after. She seems to have a similarly seasoned and devoted clientele, and her prices have remained low for years!!!
If you need something altered, I really don't think you can find better work, or a better price.

6th August 2010 Excellent service and high quality at fair prices. I recently had several items customized and reconstructed by Mei - everything from designer silk dresses and lace gloves, to curtains. Mei is an excellent communicator and possesses wonderful technical skills. Highly recommended!

29th March 2010 Great pleasure in recom Mei and her friendly but professional quality and care. She completely relined a dress for daughter's wedding in silk
along with helpful comments and suggestions for accessories.
She is very prompt and I have since used her again to refit a top
for another wedding.With confidence I also recomm her to advise on my daughter in law's wedding dress.

29th April 2009 We needed a bolero to add some warmth to our Bridesmaids dresses for our friend's wedding in Australia in June. We went to se Mei and gave her our ideas, Mei had so much knowledge and experience that she drafted a pattern and using the very small amount of fabric left over made up lovely jackets to help ward off the cold Australian weather. Thank you so much for your awesome help, we would use your skills again in a heartbeat......

23rd November 2008 I needed a dress for a wedding so I took Mei the idea I had. She helped by telling me how the dress would be constructed and how much fabric I would need. She made a pattern for it and cut and made the dress. She was very particular about how my dress would look and focused on the quality. My dress turned out very beautiful, just as I imagined it. Would highly recommend her and definitely use her again.
