Being local means I grew up in the area, I have a passion for the area and I understand the challenges of building in the area. My team of business manager, project managers, site foremen, craftsmen carpenters and administration staff are an integral part of my commitment to you. Our entire team know and understand the value of truly serving our customers.
Many of our costumers live away from the area and some overseas, reading through our referrals you will see that our clients have 'peace of mind' when they build with our company. We'll keep you up to date with regular weekly emails and photos of the building in progress.
We cover the central plateau region including Lake Taupo and surround settlements of Taihape, Ohakune, Waiouru, Turangi, Taumaranui, Tauranga, Omokoroa and Katikati and Mangakino.
Around me I've built a team of very experienced, local sub contractors, who know the standards I demand and who share my passion for fine detail. Being local also means I care about keeping business local and the benefits accrued to everyone from that.
Lockwood is the Flagship brand of Peter Richards Builders. You could say I teethed on it. So after 30 years building Lockwoods theres a lot of passion and knowledge built in. Over those 30 years I've been involved in many different building projects, from lifts at Turoa Skifields, farm buildings, renovations and additions, large commercial buildings and some homes of real distinction.
We have been a Registered Master Builder since 1980 and over those years have won many awards including many Gold Award Catagories and National Category Winners.
