Test Drill offers a completely mobile drilling unit specialising in building site testing.
We can potentially save you thousands by conducting a reasonably inexpensive Cone Penetrometer Test on your future building site.
With this method you will be able to identify any obvious nasties below the surface and beyond that, we can work in with your Geotechnical or Structural Engineer to provide a more detailed assessment.
This method is Ideal for filled and compacted subdivisions to ensure that the base of your site has reached the required level of compaction.
We heard of one site recently that was found to have large boulders below the surface. These had to be excavated, re-filled and compacted. I believe the costs came in at around 38k and potentially we could have identified this issue for an investment of under a thousand dollars.
Our rig is 4x4 Ute mounted and can mobilise faster than anything else on the New Zealand market.
