17th March 2012 I'm so consistently impressed with this restaurant that I just had to help put the word out. I've lived in Thames for 29 years, and have seen plenty of restaurants come and go in this town due to miss management or a gradual decline in service or food quality. But the Nakongtong has been a pleasant exception. It did close for a few years due to the elderly woman owner moving on (not dying, just selling up), but the new owners brought it back with a vengeance, making it the busiest restaurant in town. They are very friendly and laid back, not to mention hard case. And of course my hat goes off to the chief, the food is always top notch, I've never had a meal I wasn't happy with.
If you ever stop in Thames for a night or two, you need to treat yourself to at least one meal at the Nakontong.

Kahawaikid
3rd September 2009 I dined there recently with my wife & friends.
The service was excellent, the waitress was as we would expect able to help us considerably with oyr selection of mqain course/s
I had the roast duck in red curry & like the other members of the party we thoroughly enjoyes the meal.
The dessert was something else, the fried banana (shared) was to die for.
I highly recommend this restaurant to dine out (have even had takeaways since)
