MindKits New Zealand is a site dedicated to helping others discover the creative world of hobby robotics and physical computing. We Distribute the open-source physical computing platform called Arduino from Sparkfun.com.
MindKits holds stock locally and are the official distributors in New Zealand for Sparkfun.com (the biggest maker online shop in the USA). MindKits ship from Auckland usually the next day and not only reduce shipping costs from overseas but orders arrive much quicker.
MindKits was established in 2008 by Tim Carr after seeing a lack of sites supporting 'Makers' in learning robotics and physical computing.
Tim decided it was time there was a site that not only sold robotics kit, sensors and Arduino at the best price possible but was a place for a community around robotics to grow and have somewhere to share ideas and learning in New Zealand and now Australia too.
