Brookfields Lodge offers warm, friendly, non smoking bed and breakfast and self catering accommodation with an on site licensed restaurant. The house was originally built in 1910 and became widely known for its gardens and tea parties, however in recent years it has gone through extensive sympathetic renovations, with the latest converting the property into a restaurant with accommodation options. Accommodation consists of two double rooms and a family room (all en-suite) and the "Old School" which has been converted into a self catering facility and sleeps six. We believe that with three guest rooms and the self catering facility we are able to treat each guest individually and provide that attention to detail which will make your stay more enjoyable, however long it may be.
Hidden just off State Highway 2 on Alfredton Road in Eketahuna, Brookfields Lodge has an enviable position, with views of the Tararua Mountain Range combined with a peaceful, tranquil location. Many of the original features from 1910 are still visible, of particular interest is the hand painted stained glass around the entrance door and the gardens around the house. The shaded garden and statue make an idyllic view point whether taking breakfast with the morning sun gently breaking through or eating in the restaurant at night when the garden is illuminated. These are just some of the features which add to the atmosphere that makes "Brookfields Lodge" a warm and friendly place to stay. We like to feel that "Brookfields" will offer you that home from home feeling that you will come to enjoy and expect.
