AWEA is the oldest tauiwi community education organisation in NZ; our constitutional purpose is to provide and promote education that contributes to a just and equitable society in accordance with Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We are a not-for-proft organisation that supports groups to build their own capacity, and runs projects in accordance with our aims.

We currently have two major projects: the Treaty Resource Centre (www.trc.org.nz) which focuses on Treaty of Waitangi application within organisations, and Culture Matters which focuses on cultural diversity (www.culturematters.org.nz). We can provide education and training,
