I have never felt the need to write a review online before now, but I have recently had the most awful experience at Essential Hair Boutique. I acknowledge that this is my first, and only experience at this salon. In saying that, even if this was an off day for them, I truly think the service I paid $225 for was unacceptable. The stylist took over 3 and 1/2 hours to put foils through my hair to lighten the colour. The colour looks awful. In the past this has taken 1.5 hours max. Because this hairdresser took so long to put my foils through, by the time she washed out the dye, half of my hair was significantly lighter than the rest. Some bits were so badly damaged from the bleach they we falling out in tufts. She then cut my hair unevenly, at noticeably different lengths - such a bad cut that I had to go to another hairdresser within the week to get it redone. The fact that this disaster also took almost four hours is the worst part. Will never ever go back.
