As a long time caricature artist Tetyana Khytko puts great faith in very quick sketches, whether they are of a person or of a scene, the object is to capture the essence of the subject or "what you think you see". Her landscapes are inspired by Wellington's rolling hills, steep streets, sky and sea grow out of these first impression sketches, caricatures mixed with fantasy.
