Mr Orange aims to make little people happy. Surrounded by shrieks of laughter and squeals of delight he can be seen twisting balloon creations, in a midst of iridescent bubbles. When an oeoh wow! escapes the recipients lips and the completed creation is handed over, a giant grin spreads across his face, another satisfied customer.
After many years of friends and family advising that he should think about children's entertainment as a career choice he finally ventured into the field late last year and hasn't looked back. Born with the gift of the Blarney, Mr Orange is originally from Co Cork in Ireland, his ability with the gift of the gab has led to most of his work to date being via word of mouth.
I have been juggling for a number of years and have always had a love of bubbles, I haven(TM)t met anyone yet who doesn't like them. I was given a gift of a giant bubble wand and after some research on how to make a good bubble mix I was hooked. On a good bubble weather day, I can launch bubbles up to two meters long. I used to take my bubble mix and wand down to the kids at the Peninsula Playcentre, all the kids would get a go until the mix ran out. Balloon twisting was added to my repertoire after seeing another entertainers skilled twisting, I noticed how the kids faces lit up when they received their prize. I've been incredibly fortunate to have a number of mentors pass on their skills for which I am very grateful. The only downside with my work is that my own boys aged four and three quarters and almost two have lost the awe of balloons. Fortunately my youngest still believes in the joy of magic, if something vanishes he checks in his ear first before looking elsewhere.
So how did he come by the name of Mr Orange? I've always loved the colour orange, it is a high energy colour, flamboyant and vibrant it's great to wear. It's also pretty lucky, I was wearing the colour orange when I met my wife.
