ODL Group Ltd was formed in April 2003 following a management buyout of the General Insurance division of the O'Donoghue Lindsay Group. A well-established brokerage, we have been in business since 1974 and transact business throughout New Zealand. As part of our ongoing development of the business, we opened an office in Auckland in October 2004 in recognition of this exciting growth market

As one of the largest independent broking houses in New Zealand we transact business with all major insurance companies, as well as specialist niche insurers and overseas markets

Our Brokers have combined industry experience in excess of 140 years and are more than ably assisted by some of the best Account Executives in the insurance industry

Whilst ODL Group Ltd specialises in Fire & General Insurance, within the Group we do have access to other lines including Medical, Life & Disability, Mortgage and Investments

In addition to traditional funding of insurance premiums (paying premiums by monthly instalment), our finance company Stone Hunter Finance Ltd will also provide loans for commercial interests. For example, finance for vehicle/asset purchases

What has helped to make us "different from the rest" is our in-house claims service. We employ our own people to deal with our claims; after all, that's what this business is all about. Rather than rely on the insurance company to "get around to it", our team is there to ensure your claim is handled as quickly and as fairly as possible. Our claims staff were selected on reputation and merit; we wanted the best - our clients deserve nothing less!
