Chris and Kaye from Fibreactive Creatures make indigenous creatures from harakeke (NZ flax) We live in an old Bedford bus and use the flax we find along the way. Inspiration comes from the many creatures we see on our travels.

By far the most popular creature is the kiwi, which comes in three sizes: tiny (about the size of a golfball), small (tennis ball) and large. They are bought mainly by travelers wanting an authentic reminder of their visit to NZ, or New Zealanders traveling overseas, to give as gifts. They have been taken to 22 countries that we know of; only Australia requires them to be declared as 'treated fibre'.

Also in the range are weta, spiders, moa and pied stilts. These are truely unique pieces of NZ Art, 100% kiwi made. Each is individually made, so no two are the same.
