We provide a weekly service of containers from Auckland (Albany) to Christchurch (Woolston). From Christchurch we can forward cargo to over 35 destinations in the South Island. To Christchurch one CBM will cost you NZD108.17 (incl of GST and fuel surcharge) and one ton will cost you NZD 160.88 (incl of GST and fuel surcharge) from door Auckland to door Invercargill. You will be charged on either the CBM or weight whichever is the greater. Additional savings can be made by delivering the cargo to our depot in Albany.
Although this is not an overnight service but subject to coastal vessels, there is a slight delay in transit time compared with a trucking service however, we provide you with a more economical means of transporting your freight to the South Island.
In addition we can also provide pallet storage in Christchurch as some of our clients hold stock in Christchurch and use our coastal service to maintain stock levels . While supplying from their stock ex our Christchurch branch, the delivery time is reduced as we deliver within 24 hours. The cost of sending down cargo on a truck to the South Island is far greater than maintaining stock in storage in Christchurch.
Another economical solution is to pack all the freight for your South Island clients in your own container and use our depot in Christchurch for devanning and onforwarding which can result in savings to your cartage costs.
Personal effects to the South Island are accepted. You will have to pack your own belongings and deliver to our depot in Auckland (as said collection can be arranged at a cost). Delivery will be on road side basis, which means that you will have to assist the truck driver with unloading the truck at destination.
If you want to use a full container (approx a three bedroom house will fit in one 20ft container in general) we can organise this to. The container will be delivered to your home for loading 3 days prior to the vessel leaving and you will have the container available to you for unloading for up to 5 days after arrival in the South Island.
