Worst customer service experience, rude and unhelpful. Food was half an hour late and was not nice. Booked for a work Xmas lunch most of the staff unhappy with the food. Jillian was very rude when I kept emailing her for a receipt of full payment. She told me to stop hounding for stuff that was my fault. Not a good experience don't use this place.

Absolute RIPOFF. These guys charged $2000 to cater finger foods for 60 people at my sons wedding and supplied barely enough for 15-20 guests. I was absolutely disgusted.

A huge thank you to the team at Tall Poppies for the stunning High Tea they provided us on the weekend. The food was delicious and their was a nice balance of sweet and savoury. It was great to have a beautiful High Tea in the comfort of our home and everyone commented on how lovely it was. I highly recommend Tall Poppies and would have no hesitation in using them again in the future...

We used Tall Poppies Catering for our daughters 21st after they were recommended by The Winchester,( the venue we used). The food was excellent and it was easy to arrange with Jillian offering advise on how much we would need. The platters were all yummy and lots of the party guests commented on how good the food was. I would recommend Tall Poppies to anyone.

We had Tall Poppies do the catering for our wedding and we could not fault the food or the service we had from them.The food arrived on time and was very well presented and tasted as good as it looked. I would recommend them to anyone and i will. Matt and Maryanne

01 Jan 2012 The food at Tall Poppies was fantastic and it was unbelievable value for money especially over New Years Day! The timing of service was outstanding. But the food was amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed the canape's especially the King Prawn Skewers with Wasabi & Coconut Creme Fraiche and the 2 course buffet was simply yummy..Roast Pork Crackling with the Cranberry, Orange and Port Sauce yum and that Smoked Kawakawa WOW couldn't get enough of that! The food presentation was beautiful which really made the day quite spectacular and we had so much food left over too. It has been a pleasure to organize my family's gathering through Tall Poppies from overseas as their was no fuss and the communication was outstanding. I really can't thank Tall Poppies enough and highly recommend Tall Poppies to friends and family in NZ and other kiwis based internationally that require catering services that they organize abroad like myself for the their family in New Zealand. My gratitude to you and thanks again.

We had Tall Poppies cater our companies Golf Day and I was very impressed. The pre-organisation was problem free and the food arrived on time and as requested. The presentation was fantastic and the taste of the 6 different canapes that we ordered was stunning. Our customers were very happy as was I was the catering. I would not hesitate to recommend Tall Poppies for any occasion.

Tall Poppies did the food for my 40th birthday. The platters were fantastic, my guests were impressed with both the quality and the quantity of the food. The salmon platter was a huge hit, as were the Vietnamese spring rolls. The platters were delivered on time to the bar and I didn't have to worry about anything as the drop off and pick up etc ... was all arranged with the bar manager. I highly recommend Tall Poppies and will definitely use them in the future. Thanks, a million for memorable food on a great night.

I have used Tall Poppies on a couple of occasions - boardroom lunches for 14 and a buffet luncheon for 100 and can honestly say that the service and food were exceptional. We're local so the free delivery is an added bonus. The lunch was a very special event as our MD was retiring and the feedback from our guests and staff were very complimentary - there was plenty of great food and we have some big eaters and they were very happy to go back for third helpings! We now have a new standard to meet for our Christmas event - we'll be in touch about that Jillian!

I recently used Tall Poppies for a series of corporate retreat dates I ran and I can honestly say that I was blown away by the menu and the service I received. The food was outstanding, each meal was delivered promptly and was beautifully presented. Tall Poppies is now my caterer of choice and I will be using them for all my events. I would be more than happy to recommend them.Thank you Jillian.

We are now very loyal clients of Tall Poppies Catering, as they have proven to be very reliable and professional. They provide fantastic food at very reasonable prices and the presentation is always impeccable. I have had had no hesitation in asking Tall Poppies to cater not only our corporate requirements, but also my daughters' wedding and my son's 21st. Tall Poppies comes highly recommended in my book!!!
