My name is Lisa and it is a privilege to share with you my passion for photography and decorating.
A BIT ABOUT MYSELF
I was born in Toronto Canada in 1978. I developed a keen interest in photography in my early teenage years after my father passed down to me my grandfather’s SLR camera kit. With lenses, tripods and various types of film, this was the start of something very special. I soon enrolled in a night school course at my local tertiary and read photography books in my spare time. When I was old enough this lead to a photography apprenticeship with a local wedding photographer and photo studio.
By 20 I developed a second interest, decorating. I had always watched my mom decorate our homes and her skills and talents were so inspiring. As I prepared for fulltime tertiary education I knew I required a part time job to help pay for the costs, so I applied to a paint and decorating store, Color Your World. I spent 5 years with ICI Paints Canada. Over time, a major part of my job description became in home and business colour consulting, no job was too big!
Now based in Wanganui, New Zealand, with my husband Scott and two dogs, I am again persuing my passions, having started my own business, Concepts Photography & Design.
