Accomplished designer Richard Morgan has founded a new design company on the Kapiti Coast. “Regenesis Design is about providing innovative ways to solve problems,” says Morgan.

"For example, one of my current projects is to design a machine to make it impossible to glean data from an old personal computer. Most of us send personal emails that we would prefer to stay personal, or we have confidential company information. But what do you do when you buy a new computer? How do you make sure no one can access the sensitive information on your old computer? My machine would make it impossible to gain any data from the old PC. The process physically destroys the workings of the hard drive - the part that stores the information."

"For the past 8 years I owned a niche display manufacturer, but recently felt the desire to try a different direction. I have chosen a path that will allow me to spend time designing things for other people and also allow me time to pursue my own design projects."

Richard Morgan's industry experience is extensive, with 15 years in manufacturing and design, covering a broad range of techniques. "I think I must have worked with people from just about every field of manufacture, so I know what works and what doesn't!"
