I just signed up for Slingshot internet and I love it - signed up online, arrived home one day to a modem, plugged it in and I was online in 5 minutes. The broadband is great and I've only had to call them once but they were really helpful and the girl I spoke to was lovely. Thumbs up from me!!

Sooooo wish I'd seen the many negative reviews before I made the mistake of dealing with Slingshot. After nearly a month I still didn't have my new service set up with them. Then - before I got any service - they tried to bump their fees by $10/mth. Now that I've told them to cancel my application after waiting all that time and endless excuses, endless time spent on hold - still no service - they're trying to pursue me for termination fees. As if all of that isn't upsetting enough they LAUGH at you when you get angry. Yes, they LAUGH. When I told them I would spread the word with a vengeance they accused me of BLACKMAIL!!! Having read so many outrageous reviews about this company's behaviour I'm stunned that they are getting away with it. What a shame NZ has so little respect for it's citizens that people like these are able to do this sort of thing with impunity. They are notorious for God's sake! I hear that I can expect the debt collectors next and they will trash my credit rating. It's disgraceful.

I signed up with these guys - they were fantastic when they were trying to win my business however once they had it the service went down hill. My modem was faulty after 2 weeks of use and requested a replacement - 3 weeks later I still didn't have one.... they were more interested in selling me other products then fixing my issue. Pushy marketing and poor service

I was with Slingshot for 4 years they had all around good speed on their internet connection. I didn't like their marketing dept soliciting for extra business for toll calls. I couldn't reach through to their help desk after waiting 15 minutes I gave up and solved the problem myself. Occasionally I would get internet outages and they would last a couple of hours at a time. They send you an invoice through your email every month - annoying. Speed 4/5 Help desk 1/5 Internet experience 3/5 Pricing 3.5/5 I dropped them as soon as my contract finished. No more annoying phone calls!.
