Molecheck® is a skin cancer and melanoma diagnostic service based in Auckland and Christchurch, New Zealand, where experienced skin cancer doctors with world-class training use the cutting-edge technology called dermoscopy.
Unlike several other New Zealand skin cancer detection services, at Molecheck®, the patient is examined by an expert skin cancer doctor rather than a technician/nurse. Results are available immediately.
Our highly-skilled doctors use dermoscopy to view structures beneath the skin surface, enabling them to diagnose melanoma and other skin cancers before they can be seen with the naked-eye.
Molecheck® doctors use the very latest dermoscopy techniques, to identify extremely subtle, tiny cancer blood vessels, thereby enabling skin cancer detection at the earliest curable stage.
Molecheck® doctors use these techniques and equipment to check for all skin cancers, not just those occuring in moles.

Dr David Langford MB ChB FRNZCGP DPD (UK) IDD (Graz) (Distinction), the principal of Molecheck®, is NZ's only doctor on the Board of the International Dermoscopy Society. He is widely recognised for his expertise in skin cancer and melanoma diagnosis.

He is a co-author (with several international authorities) of four scientific papers published in the highly-respected journals 'British Journal of Dermatology', the 'Archives of Dermatology', 'Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology' and 'Dermatology' journal. During 2006 Dr Langford lectured (on skin cancer blood vessels) at the International Dermoscopy Conference in Italy, and chaired the Skin Cancer Conference in Surfers Paradise, Australia. He is regularly engaged as a speaker by doctors’ groups throughout New Zealand.
