We are Auckland's original extended hours (after hours) pharmacy and are the last pharmacy in Auckland to close. Newmarket Day and Night Pharmacy is open until 12pm midnight everyday of the year including Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Years Day.
Since the new ownership in December 2012, the pharmacy has taken on a strong medicines focus. The dispensary has extensive stocks of prescription medicines, including wide ranges of pain relief and antibiotics. In the shop, we pride ourselves again on a full and extensive range of medicines.
Our medicine categories include pain and fever relief, baby medicines and skincare, first aid dressings creams and supports, digestion, medicated skincare, contact lens and eye drops, travel products, and a good range of vitamins and natural health.
We also supply the emergency contraception pill and do quality passport photos.

9th April 2013 I spent $50 travelling to via taxi in a mild emergency to fill a prescription at 12:40am. While this tinpot city doesn't appear to have any 24 hour pharmacies, there seem to be a few that advertise themselves as such. This is one of them.

30th August 2011 Avoid at all costs. Once refused to issue a repeat script because they entered the wrong expiry date & on another occasion refused to redeem my script because my doctor was apparently not qualified enough (never have this issue at any other pharmacy). I highly recommend going to the Gladstone pharmacy in Parnell, the staff are great & I've never had any issues with them.

24th November 2010 This is my favourite chemist, they are quick, friendly and offer great advice. The pharmacist is lovely and does not try to convince you to buy the most expensive - in my experience, they actually showed me the cheaper brand and discussed the positive and negatives about alternative treatments.
