Nicola has a fantastic eye for detail, experience and knows what suits each body. She has made many dresses for my families special occasions, including 5x bridesmaids dresses, my bridal dress and mother of the bride dress and they all looked fantastic and were great quality, would highly reccomend Nicola Dawson Design.

I am a fully qualified Fashion Designer specialising in Bridalwear, and Evening-wear. I make gowns to order and am able to use your ideas or pictures, or I can design you the gown of your dreams. From stunning historical designs (like the gown in Issue 56 Of NZ Bride and Groom Magazine) to modern styles, I can creat a gown to suit your personality and your budget.

Bridesmaids and Flowergirl dresses can also be made.

I am a stockist of Trinny & Susannah Shape-wear.

I offer free one hour consultations at a time to suit you. (evenings, weekends, or during the day).

My private studio is conveniently located in The Gardens, just off the Southern Motorway.

I had my wedding gown designed and made by Nicola Dawson Design. What an amazing experience!! From the time I had my first consultation with Nikki I felt she really understood what I wanted in a dress. I had a few ideas of what I wanted, but she helped me work out what would suit my figure best and suggested details I never would have thought of. Her workmanship was great and I came away with the gown of my dreams. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nicola Dawson Design. she also did a wonderful job of my bridesmaids, and all the gowns were completed well before the wedding so there was no stress.
