28th December 2008 My experience with Raining Ink began with a trip from Christchurch heading south. Stopping at Ashburton for lunch we decided to get my long awaited nipple piercing.
Anxious as I was, I asked for directions from one of the local food stores - who promptly recommended RInk and pointed us in the right direction.
Locating the store was easier than I had hoped, pulling up on a Sunday I was silently wishing they were closed... To no avail!! Open on a Sunday.
Walking in the door (unable to pull out now) I was greeted by a VERY clean, hygenic and professional studio, much unlike some I had visited and what I expected
I was seen to immediately, to my dispair, and was ushered into a comfortable chair. From here I was guided through the nipple pierce process and routine. No sugar coating from Neville which I found comforting - honesty from someone sticking needles into you is somehow calming.
The process was very quick and "relatively painless". Followed up by a quick hygene lesson I am sure I was in and out within 10 minutes.
I arrived home more or less in tact, and with a great surprise for my wife! I experienced no follow up infections/issues and was painless by the next morning.
Including the stainless steel "pierce barbell" the whole thing cost me less than $50 at the time, for a walk-in booking on a Sunday I think this is exceptional.
I would recommend Raining Ink for all piercings - and I will certainly be visiting there for future Tats.
Cheers.
