A very nice pub to visit. Friendly staff and the food is of a good quality. Definately a good place to meet friends for a catch up meal or drinks.

Went for an early dinner with my sister we had the most delicious salad of squid with an amazing bottle of french cider. The food was outstanding, all very pubby but still nice for something really casual

I love the relaxed atmosphere, staff always friendly and the food is of generous proportions. Good pub tucker. Great place for an unwinding after-work drink and meal. Also a good meeting place for pre or post rugby matches.

An ideal place to catch up on a cold winter's night for a pint (or more) in front of the cosy fireplace, or a summery ale in the porch area. For those who enjoy the art of beer-drinking and sampling new brews. Good pub fare as well in case you get peckish.

There were four of us a couple of weeks back and it was pouring down, a Friday night. The place was nice and toasty - and busy. We managed to get a seat though after a little drink at the bar while wiating for our friends. The brewery there is special and the beer excellent. Pub grub is excellent and wasn't sure whether to nail the giant fish and chips (not greasy as we've had it there before), the favlurite salt and pepper squid (we had them as starters anyway) or the big, big beef pie which is perfect for a miserable winter's night. Oh...and then there's the fries (don't worry, none of us are overweight). There's loads more on the menu for a variety of tastes. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely staff. Lovely jubbly

Had a birthday lunch here recently. My lamb was delicious & well cooked but was slightly overpowered by too many olives in the sauce making it a tad too salty. My husband loved his pork - I had a taste & it was very yummy. We shared the salt & pepper squid and pecan pie - both were very tasty! All in all good value and a nice afternoon out. The beer brewed on the premises is very good too.

A truly great pub to catch up with a large group of friends and enjoy a great selection of tap beers.

Where else can you go, order up good Pub food and sit and watch a true master brewer at work? I love the authentic feel about the pub, the glass walls letting you see behing the sences ... great place

Great pub and especially love the fireplace in winter. GBs brings back memories of having a quiet (until you've had too many) ciders in London. Definintely the place for Sunday afternoon pub lunches.

Real beer, really good pub food. Great bar atmosphere, always a good buzzy atmosphere. Back to the beer - authentic brews made on the premises plus a good range of guest beers. One of the top few real breweries in Auckland.

its a pub. a real one, where they brew the beer on the premises. almost in danger of getting bits of straw in your pint with some of the home brew choices, but a good place to sit and have a chin wag for a few hours. Big garden out the back in summer. Good parking out the front too.

Not your theme pub, but a real pub! For those wanting the genuie article then Galbraith's is for you. Wide selection of great in-house brewed beers, bitters & lagers. Great food in a great atmosphere. Open fireplace inside and for the smokers amongst us outside too.
