26th August 2008 I was very impressed with the hospitality Bruce and June showed us while staying in Apiti for a month in winter. The Tavern was always warm, welcoming and filled with smiling faces. Lots of room for having a big night or a quiet evening with a wholesome meal. 50c pooltable was level and true to top it all off. I'm going to miss that cute little place and the great community feel. Cheers guys!
8th August 2012 half star , was the lowest possible but i prefer nothing for the fact that Apiti Tavern , though they trade on its 'rustic' country image have recently cut down all but all a variety of specimen trees including some 100 year old oaks on the sloping bank . It was unnecessary and detracts from the village . DONT SUPPORT this outfit they have NO RESPECT for the environment they trade on to make money .
Apiti Tavern and grounds now look like the ubiquitous surrounding dairy sheds with no character and no class .
