The rooms upstairs from reception are the best. Closest to the bar, dining room, pool and spa. We found it quiet but it was a little difficult for me going up and down the stairs with my sore knee, I guess I could have asked for a different room, apart from that everything was near perfect! Stayed 2 nights through a deal with Trade Me's Travel Bug website. Had a problem with booking through Trade Me, but Kingsgate and Travel Bug sorted it out quickly. Best place we've been to so far! Excellent facilities, quality and service - admin even called the tour company to make sure our trip was all sorted (night shift - cheers Mel!). Pool, private spa, location of hotel, views and buffet meals are awesome! If you're thinking about this place, it's highly recommended! Thanks Kingsgate Paihia!
