8th January 2013 A must to visit if you're in Otaki!! Beautiful miniature railway set in lovely garden. Great for young and old also disabled friendly. The added option of "driving" one of the trains by remote control - my son loved it! Amazing gardens - lot of space for picnics. Fab hammocks to lie in under huge trees. Sandpit, trampoline and badminton - all part of the entrance fee. Walk through the vege gardens and orchard. Definately going back! (We went Jan 2013)
5th January 2015 To put it mildly, this 'attraction' is a ripoff. I could have stayed at home and enjoyed my garden more. $20 to enter (which was half price on book me) I can't imagine how I would feel if we paid full price! The models around the train set have been situated amateurly and doesn't look like it's had any maintenance in years. Additional charges to operate trains, feed the pet goat and chickens and the go-kart left a very bad taste. Don't waste your time stopping here.the 1 star is for the relaxing drive up the kapiti coast.

29th April 2014 Paid $25 to enter someone's back yard and watch two train go around a track. Overpriced for what It was. Advertised as 'gardens' but no different to any suburban garden. Charged $2 on top of entry fee To hold a plastic remote and follow a train around that derailed. Owner needs to employ staff as his gruff demeanour was off putting. Would not go back and would not recommend. Better to travel to Levin and make use of the adventure playground and free train ride.
