Seahorse Equipment

The Seahorse Electric Kontiki has been designed to give many hours of service hauling long lines out to sea quickly and easily.

Its tough Polyethylene construction and design features takes Seahorse out of the 'home made' class to a new level of performance and reliability. The length, shape and power allow it to haul lines straight through huge broken waves. Totally sealed electrics means long term reliable operation . Seahorse although well sealed also has waterproof internal electrics and is controlled by magnetic switching so there are no exposed connections or mechanical switches all of which eventually fail in the harsh environment.

The Seahorse is the heart of a complete fishing system which includes the best electric winch and trace delivery boards available. It comes complete with the 12v 14AH battery pack, night activated strobe light, flag, starter magnet and automatic battery charger. Charge time from flat is 3-4hours.

The electronic control PCB is completely sealed in solid resin. This resin block is then encased inside the polyethylene body. The batteries are removable through the cast aluminium hatch and you can take extra charged packs with you.

A row of 10 super bright LEDs (under the white polyethylene window) indicates if your battery needs charging and you can set the running time of your Seahorse. This time is indicated by the LED lights which illuminate in a bar display. Once the time is set simply start the Seahorse motor by putting the magnet near the START switch. You can run the Seahorse until the low battery cutout switches it off or set the timer to 25,20,15,10 or 5 minutes run time.
