Approximately seventy percent of the mechanical design work is for process industries (pulp and paper, dairy) or for other industrial sites (power stations, steel mills). The balance of work is building services (hotels, hospitals) and machine designs (cranes, conveyors, pressure vessels) or investigations (accidents, fire). Jim Dobbie established the practice in September 1990. The firm operates from offices in Rotorua and Auckland. Both offices are certified as complying with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems.
