Cafe in Forrest Hill with a gorgeous garden backdrop. Relax in our friendly and warm environment for breakfast or lunch from our menu or from our cabinet. Open seven days a week!
29th October 2015 The cafe is great, staff are friendly and helpful. My partner and I have had breakfast here once and it was good, the coffee is good also. I agree with the other reviews that the setting is perfect inside the garden centre. It's tranquil. As for the previous review about the birds.
I didn't see any issues, perhaps it was the time of year, but then you can always opt to sit indoors, it's a garden centre at the end of the day so you can't expect not to have birds. We often have breakfast in the city and I find pigeons to be a pain there. I must admit though a garden centre cat would be novel, especially for the kids, but that may create it's own set of problems for hygiene.
All in all, I highly recommend a trip to the garden centre and a stop in for coffee, cake or breakfast.

21st March 2011 I agree with the previous review. Very nice setting in the back of the nursery, food is good and the coffee is always great. Outside tables are recommended. Don't go there too early though as the regular chef seem to start later and makes a better breakfast - the scrambled eggs aren't runny. Overall it has always been a good experience.

17th September 2010 This place is pretty good. The staff are friendly, the coffees pretty good, and the food is quite nice too. Sitting outside is much nicer than inside, as the gardens are pretty and the seating there is nice. I don't get hugely excited about the eating aspect, but the scones are better than most, and the selection of cold drinks is actually very good, now I think about it. Coffee is pretty decent, and they are open to variatons on the usual. Only problem for me, is the sparrow population. The odd bird here and there is no major crisis, but these birds really are obnoxious. They land on the tables, fly within inches of your face and generally make nuisances of themselves. I would recommend a cat or something, it stresses me out.
Overall pretty nice though, especially if you like birds.
