26th July 2010 This is the IDEAL place for mothers day! Located in the historic old farm house, you drive down the drive and are transported to another world. The sounds of the city die away and you can hear the birds, watch the cats and see the flowers. It's a wonderful place. Food is good, coffee great & I hear (although haven't tried) their High Tea is fun too

13th July 2010 If you are looking for tea and scones on a weekend afternoon, this is the place to go. It's kind of tacked onto the side of the Howick Historical village which explains the olde worlde decor, but it fits and helps make it, well, a good place for tea and scones. It has a nice north facing deck which looks out onto Lloyd Ellsmore park, so if you have kids with you, just point them in the general direction of the wide open spaces and you don't have to worry about being embarrassed by hyper children. They even had live music on a couple of occasions we've been there. The food is fresh and with the surroundings, it's a good place to spend a couple of hours hanging with family and friends.
