22nd June 2016 I have eaten lunch here two or three times a week for quite a few years. I usually have a pie or toasted sandwich and coffee. Today, I ordered eggs on toast ($6.50) and a small flat white ($3.80). I requested brown or five grain bread. I was charged $13.50 instead of $10.30. When I queried the amount I was informed that the extra charge was because I had ordered five grain bread. The menu states eggs on toast $6.50. I paid $3.00 for two small pieces of grain bread. I was not informed at the time of ordering that there would be an extra charge, nor is it stated on the menu. Most cafes ask whether you prefer brown or white bread. So for the sake of $3 they have lost my business forever.
