22nd March 2011 One of the best hidden gems in Auckland central's cafe scene.
St Kevin's Arcade provides a sun drenched environment which hosts a reconstructed eclectic mix of handcrafted, beautifully built cafe tables, bench seats recycled from school halls and tables made from recycled doors. The staff are unique and beautiful and the food in lovingly prepared.
I highly recommend the Zucchini fritters which have now become my staple brunch on Sundays.
It is very easy to while away a Sunday afternoon in relaxed bliss @ Alleluya.
Don't bother coming here if you have a tendency to get pissed off when your coffee takes more than 5 minutes to arrive at your table. Coffee is carefully prepared and thus like a good cheese... takes time.
Alleluya Bar & Cafe is a cosy cafe that looks out over Meyers Park and is in bohemian environment. Friendly staff and excellent service make an enjoyable day out with friends and family.

15th July 2010 One of my favourite places for breakfast / brunch... located in St Kevin's Arcade, you can look out over Myers Park and the city, great for taking in all the 'weird and wonderful' of K Road and, of course, the food is consistently yummy - have yet to indulge in their awesome-looking cake selection, but the breakfasts offer some amazing flavours (thinking of the gourmet sausages and chutneys) without the excess grease. Definitely not your average...!

6th July 2010 This is an old favourite. We used to go here almost every weekend, when we lived nearby. It's a great way to start a Saturday.
The food and coffee are good and reliable. Aside from standard breakfast items, they have their own special dishes. My own personal favourite is the Smoked Fish Hash (which my wife doesn't like). Coffee goes well with their cakes and biscotti. The staff are relaxed and friendly.
Above all that, the location is unique, being in the atrium of St Kevin's Arcade. It looks great in pictures. While waiting for the food or afterwards, you can check out the fashion stores, including a high-end store (Children of Vision), lots of NZ designers (Misery's Pleased To Meet You), several vintage stores (including the famous Fast and Loose), a vegan activist store, and a 2nd-hand bookstore (with a discreet porn section - very retro).
