8th October 2014 As a first time client, booking my dog into the kennels on Thursday, I was sadly most dissapointed with the impression and rudeness of staff as I entered the premisis. As we were due to catch a flight I was a couple of minuites early to drop off my dog. I had been told several times that 9 am was the earliest I could come and definately no exceptions. Is that a friendly way to run a buisiness? Apon entering the building I could hear staff behind the staff room doors so I politely knocked and peeped my head round to say hello, and to my disgust one of the staff shut the door in my face and said they were not open. When all paperwork and payment was done, I went to getr the dog out of the car and unfortuantly had forgot a lead. The response I got from Nikki was "have you no common sence". Feeling offended, I got my dog from the car with a lead that was kindly borrowed and the girl took the dog away without a word said. I was not asked to see his accommodation, he was just led away. As I got home feeling a bit dishearteded about the way I was treated, Nikki, the owner rang my cell phone and decided to abuse me down the phone asking if I could not read as I entered through the 'staff doors'. As surprised as I was with this conversation, I let Nikki tell me what she had to say and because we were in a rush to get to airport, I had to say that I had to go. Unfortuantly she told me not to hang up and I said I would be able to deal with the issue on Sunday and had to go. Not a minuite later my phone rang again to which my husband answered as he could see how upset I was. He was given the same verbal abuse too and was told that best not to book with her again. So this is my first impression of a kennel of which we should be supporting bieng the only one in south Taranaki. Usually I dont write reveiws but just wanted to let people know that maybe be aware that you might get the same treatement as me. I feel very sad as I personally know Nikki. Sorry Nikki but you cant treat valued customers like this if you want to stay in business. Regards Emma
