For so long, we have had slow, buggy Wireless Router. When we came into Dick Smith, their sales assistant was incredibly helpful, and advising us on the right product to buy. Not only do they have great customer service in store and online, but unbeatable deals and discounts!
8th August 2012 Bought a Garmin GPS, returned it for repair. Has taken FIVE weeks to get it back. Customer service was atrocious here. Was firstly promised to have the item back from repair in 2 weeks. Four weeks later, I went to the store on a Saturday, was PROMISED by a staff member that he would ring me on Monday re the whereabouts of the replacement item (since Garmin said they would replace it). Phoned the store on Tuesday and spoke to another staff member who, again, PROMISED to phone me back the same day re the whereabouts of the GPS. They did not phone back. Called back Wednesday, spoke to another rep and demanded my money back and asked them to note this when I go to the store this Saturday Aug 11 to get my refund. Overall, BAD customer service - some of the worst I have experienced anywhere. Not even worth ONE star.

19th December 2008 The customer service here was terrible, i asked 3 different sales assistants to help me and each time i was brushed off. The first sales assistant said he would help me right after he was finished with the customer he was helping yet when he was finished he went straight to another customer standing right next to me. I then asked the 2nd sales assitant for help and he said 'yes he would help me' and was on his way to help me when he sidetracked to another couple who had not asked for his help. The third guy did the exact same thing as the first sales assistant. When they saw that i was obviously irritated one sales assistant told another assistant at the counter to come and help me and he shook his head that he did not want to come help me and they started laughing, when they saw that i was watching them, the sales assistant FINALLY came over. I find this very rude!! and will not go back to this store ever again. I do not appreciate being IGNORED and treated like i'm invisible. This store needs to employ staff who are capable of doing their job rather than treating customers like this. For the staff that were working on the 18/12/08 around 8-9pm you should learn how to follow through with customer requests rather than brushing them off the way you did. i gave them a 0.5 but i would give them a rating of -100. The service was THAT bad.
