Labour only is available.
There is also a travel/callout fee, this varies depending on the area, but is usually 30 minutes. We start charging when we arrive at your pick up address, and finish charging when we depart your drop off address. The travel/callout fee covers travel to and from the job.
1st August 2010 We had a very disappointing experience with AA Auckland Carriers. The men turned up late for a start and then proceeded to be incredibly rude about how we had packed, particularly when the tape on one our boxes came open, muttering under their breath and huffing "disorganised". We felt bad for causing them work - which of course we were paying for. The cost was vastly more than originally quoted but we didn't have the energy to dispute it after a rather upsetting day. Would not recommend or use again in the future.

29th June 2010 We have just used AA Carriers, having move many times before, I had borrowed boxes with their contact details so decided that being such a large company, how could I possibly go wrong !
Well, the move was the most stressful and unpleasant I have ever had to endure.
The truck arrived an hour late, claiming one of the guys had slept in - I actually applauded their honesty.
They then arrived, and we felt that we were a real inconvenience to their day !!! Is this not their job ?
They treated our furniture so badly, knocking into walls and doors continuously, and treated me with utter contempt and disdain when I asked them to please be careful.
They used intimdtation and the entire process was absolutely awful.
When asked to pay at the end - I didn't agree with the amount - apart from an additional half an hour added to the time, which I just left, they had added insurance onto the amount which I hadn't agreed. They were so unpleasant and told me to call their supervisor at the depot which I did. The conversation with him didn't go much better, and he put me on "hold" while talking to the guys in the truck on the radio - which I could hear, and which was downright rude and disrespectful. All the while my partner was having abuse hurled at him by the driver of the truck, who was calling him all sorts of names and acting very aggresively.
I asked to speak to a manager, to whom I was transferred, who hardly bothered to listen to the story he was so busy defending the driver and refusing to believe that there was anyway that they might have mis-comunicated the details of the form to us about the insurance and what was required at the outset of the move (Should this not be discussed at time of quoting when one is not so stressed on moving day ?!)
The insurance amount was reluctantly removed, but the service that I paid for was hardly service. I will never use this company again, in case there was any doubt, and I will be getting this experience voiced everwhere I can to try and ensure that other unsuspecting people do not have to endure the horriffic experience we had to.
I have contacted them asked for regional manager contact details to write a letter to, and have been given the same details of the person with whom I dealt on Saturday !?!? Not a good start !

18th March 2009 Prompt and fast service but the price that was initially quoted and the price that was charged is not the same. There were a few hidden fees that was conveniently left out. Service is good but im not very satisfied with the work ethics. I will not recommend them.
