Here at the Tauranga Aero Club we can provide you with the flight experience of a life time, from your first introductory flight lesson through to a magical scenic flight that you will remember for a long time. Take an Aerobatic thrill flight or a hands on flight lesson.

Located at Tauranga in the spectacular Bay of Plenty we have it all, superb scenery, magical seascapes, steaming volcanoes, pristine beaches and a favorable climate and environment for flight training.

Tauranga aero club has been training pilots to the highest standard since 1932. We are Tauranga's longest established flight training centre.

Tauranga Aero Club has a flying membership of almost 200 pilots from a wide scope of aviation industry. Recreational Pilots to Top Dressing Pilots to Airline Pilots.

Professional full time instructing staff and 3 part time instructors mean a great instructor/student ratio.

Part 135 approved. (meaning charter and scenic flying.) Our graduating commercial pilots, who are offered employment get real hands on commercial experience.
Great social atmosphere, sit around the fire and enjoy a drink from our club bar in winter or enjoy a BBQ in the summer sun on our deck.
Open 7 days, allowing you more flexibility with your training.
Monthly club competitions which improve your flying precision.
Strong participants at national competition level. Tauranga Aero Club have always done exceedingly well at the National Competitions. A credit to our high standard of training.
