Physical address
Offering all the pleasures of Belgian beer and food culture, The Abbey Belgian Beer Cafe is located in the South End of Victoria Street, Hamilton's main bar and restaurant precinct.
12th September 2010 yummy fries (and other food) and a great selection of belgian beer for something different. great location in the centre of town, and lovely outide seating area to watch the world go by
The interior reflects considerable authenticity with the furnishings and many other items imported straight from Belgium. The Abbey name is a tribute to the monks who pioneered many of Belgium(TM)s extensive range of beers in ancient abbeys and monasteries over the last few centuries.
Five of the most popular Belgian draught beers - Stella Artois, Leffe Blonde and Brune, Hoegaarden and Belle-Vue Kriek - can be enjoyed on tap, along with dozens of specialty bottled beers, many of which can be enjoyed in authentic matching glassware. The menu combines French finesse and German generosity, the two hallmarks of Belgian cuisine, with other popular European and New Zealand favourites. The Belgian Beer Caf experience is one of Hamilton(TM)s most unique hospitality occasions. Our specifically trained staff and European setting will take you to the heart of Belgium right here in the Waikato.
