You would not expect anything else from the chef/owner, Pete who has had many years experience in the industry. Great wines to match,so enjoy the drive and discover Helensville's best kept secret. Porcini Cafe was established in 2007 by chef Peter Brennan with the intention to showcase the produce of the region.
At Porcini we shop daily and cook all meals to order especially for you. This "a la minute" style is the old craft of cookery, ensuring the ingredients are left intact until the moment of cooking. We cook everything individually and pay each dish equal attention.
Over half the wines we list are grown, produced and bottled within 30 kms of Porcini Cafe.
Porcini Cafe has been awarded the NZ Beef and Lamb Hallmark of Excellence 2008 & 2009.
8th December 2012 I love this restaurant.... small, intimate, great service and great food. Reasonable size portions and prices too. Well worth a visit.
