6th July 2013 I attended "Stiff" with friends. Top marks to the show production team for an excellent publicity campaign, great costumes and maximising income from this show...I have long come to accept the basic skimpy meal that constitutes the "dinner" part of the show ...but all points are lost as the income generation came from jamming the audience along three "long" tables, and then allowing more to sit at the back of the hall thereby ensuring that the ability of the audience to connect with the performers - we got occasional glimpses of the stage and performers, but visual gags were completely lost on us so we had trouble following the plot and working out how the (poorly delivered) song snippets related to it. I'll leave it a few years before venturing back to Nelson Music Theatre. Shame on you for denying me the opportunity to involve and enjoy!!
